Information We Collect

We collect personal information to provide and improve our wedding planning service. This includes:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and wedding date
  • Wedding planning data — events, guest lists, vendor details, budget information, tasks, and documents you create or upload
  • Communications — messages sent through the AI assistant, notifications, and other interactions within the platform
  • Usage data — how you interact with the platform, which features you use, and your preferences
  • Device and browser information — collected automatically for security, compatibility, and service improvement purposes

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide personalized wedding planning assistance tailored to your event
  • Power the AI assistant with context about your wedding so it can give relevant suggestions
  • Send notifications and reminders you have configured
  • Improve our AI models and service quality using aggregated, anonymized data only
  • Communicate with you about your account, service updates, and important changes

How AI Processes Your Data

Our AI assistant uses your wedding data to provide contextual planning help. Your data is processed by our AI models to generate suggestions, manage tasks, and answer questions about your wedding.

We use third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) to power our assistant. Your data is sent to these services under strict data processing agreements that govern how your information is handled and protected.

AI-generated suggestions are not guaranteed to be accurate. Always verify important details such as vendor availability, pricing, legal requirements, and other critical information independently.

Google User Data

aiDo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Gmail (send only) — if you connect Gmail on your Account page, aiDo asks for permission to send email only (the gmail.send scope). aiDo uses this permission only to send the guest invitations and guest messages that you choose to send, from your own address. aiDo cannot read, search, or delete the email in your mailbox.
  • What we store — your Gmail address and an encrypted access token. We do not store the content of your mailbox.
  • No AI training — we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
  • No sale or advertising — we do not sell Google user data, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising, credit checks, or any purpose other than the features you use in aiDo.
  • No human access — people at aiDo do not read Google user data, except with your permission, for security investigations, or when the law requires it.
  • Disconnect at any time — disconnect Gmail on your Account page, or remove aiDo's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the stored token.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with our services.

  • After account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days
  • Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
  • Backup copies are purged within 90 days of deletion

Data Export & Portability

You can export your wedding data at any time as CSV files. Export includes guest lists, events, tasks, budget data, and other planning information.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your data — ever.

We share data only with the following categories of third-party service providers, all of whom are bound by data processing agreements:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers — Google Cloud Platform, for hosting and data storage
  • AI processing services — Anthropic, for powering the AI assistant
  • Email and notification services — for delivering communications you have configured
  • Analytics and ad measurement — PostHog for product analytics, and Google Ads and Meta to measure whether our ads lead to signups. The ad platforms receive only the fact that a signup or wedding creation happened, never your wedding details, guest list or email address. See our Cookie Policy.

We may also disclose your data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

  • Hosted on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade infrastructure
  • Data encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+)
  • Automatic daily backups
  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security from all threats.

Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • Right to object — object to the processing of your personal data
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

For EU/EEA residents: We process data under legitimate interest and consent bases as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For California residents: We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Shutdown Commitment

If aiDo ever ceases operations, we commit to providing at least 90 days notice to all active users. During this period, you will be able to export all your data. After the notice period, all data will be securely deleted.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant changes through our platform or via email.
