How planning a destination wedding in Mauritius inspired aiDo
aiDo was born from founder Jon's experience planning his own wedding in Mauritius – a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. Coordinating family and friends traveling from the US and Canada to the other side of the world revealed a need for better planning tools.
The challenges were considerable: guests needed information about local customs, accommodations, and transportation in an unfamiliar location. Multiple events had to be coordinated across different venues. Time zone differences made communication difficult.
These real-world challenges inspired the creation of aiDo – a tool that Jon wished had existed during his own wedding planning journey. Now, aiDo aims to make destination weddings (and all weddings) easier to plan by combining AI assistance with thoughtful design focused on solving real problems faced by couples and their guests.
